Do I need to install it?
Licensed customers can use the MSI installer or the portable ZIP. Both run the same local translator, but only the MSI install supports automatic in-app updates; the portable ZIP has no updater and upgrades via a manual safe-upgrade ZIP.
Do I need an account, subscription, or usage credits?
No. You pay once (EUR 19.99) and Iria translates locally on your PC. There is no subscription and no per-translation charges. Activation needs a paid license key with online validation on every start (7-day grace for connection failures).
What happens on the first licensed run?
The app automatically downloads the required Best Quality local model (about 2.5 GB) and stays blocked until the download completes, so plan for disk space and a stable connection.

What happens when a source string or comment changes?
Source changes make previous drafts outdated. Inherited RESX context follows a changed effective comment; a differing custom context is preserved. A context change revokes approval and excludes old-context automatic memory reuse. Long comments retain their complete source text while translation context is capped at 1,000 UTF-16 units.
Which formats can I use?
Studio works with JSON string resources and RESX string resources, including multiple files. It supports bounded TMX memory interchange. It is not a full-document layout translator, and there is no XLIFF project import claim.
