Product facts and official sources

Iria translates selected text on Windows.

Iria is developed by IliciLabs for short, repeated translation tasks: select or copy text, translate it, and copy the result or paste it into the focused app with Replace. Iria 1.0 is a paid product: a one-time payment of EUR 19.99 with a lifetime license for up to 2 Windows PCs. Translation runs locally on the PC, with no subscription and no usage credits.

Models and first run

The first licensed run automatically downloads the required Best Quality local model (about 2.5 GB) and the app stays blocked until the download completes. A smaller fallback model (about 1.7 GB) can be installed as a secondary download where the app offers it; the Best Quality model is used whenever it is installed.

Replace behavior

Replace copies the translation to the clipboard and sends Ctrl+V to the focused app. It does not verify or restore the original selection: if the paste misses its target, the translation stays on the clipboard. Always check the pasted result in the target application.

Where it fits

Iria is designed for snippets, documentation, messages and other selected text inside Windows applications. Translation runs locally on the PC after online license validation.

It is a text translator, not a live audio caption tool. It works with selectable text in Windows apps; it does not translate full documents with layout preservation or capture screen and game text. Check the current product documentation for supported languages, model requirements and replacement behavior.
