The translation is ready; check where you are about to paste it

The destination belongs in your review

Iria can hold an appropriate translation and paste it somewhere you did not intend. Replace copies the translation to the clipboard and sends Ctrl+V to the focused application. It does not verify or restore the original selection. If pasting misses its target, the translation remains on the clipboard.

Review two things separately: the text you approved and the field that will receive it. This guide proposes a manual practice exercise with fictional text, not an extra Iria control or guaranteed automatic recovery.

Prepare a test without real messages

Open a test document in a text editor. Add two lines: “DRAFT: mañana enviaré el resumen” and “INTERNAL NOTE: check the greeting”. These are invented phrases. Avoid customer data, passwords or a form that might accidentally send something.

Choose the exact replacement first: here, only the Spanish phrase after DRAFT. Keep another copy of the original in your test document. Do not depend on Replace retaining the selection for you.

  1. Select the intended fragment and use Iria’s translation workflow.
  2. Review the source language, target language and result. “I will send the summary tomorrow” is our proposed translation, not observed model output.
  3. Before Replace, check the active window, field and selection that will receive the paste. If unsure, explicitly copy the reviewed translation, return to the destination and paste manually after checking the clipboard.
  4. Read the resulting document. The INTERNAL NOTE line should still be the text you intended to retain. Checking one fragment does not validate a whole document.

If it lands elsewhere, stop before sending

Do not repeatedly press Replace in the hope that it finds the earlier selection. Inspect where the text went first. In a test document, correct it manually or use the editor’s undo if available; Iria is not being credited with universal undo.

If nothing was pasted, check the destination before pasting the translation left on the clipboard. In a real workflow, then review the greeting, names and meaning before saving or sending. Sending belongs to the destination application and requires your decision.

What Iria provides

The official information describes local selected-text and clipboard translation on Windows x64. Copying the same text twice within 1.1 seconds triggers Iria without taking focus. That does not establish that your original selection remains intact after working in other windows.

Iria does not translate entire documents while preserving their layout or capture screen/game text. Model downloads, activation and license checks use the network even though translation text is processed locally.

Compare shortcuts, then check your own destination

DeepL documents desktop shortcuts, while QTranslate presents another desktop translation workflow. Checked on 23 October 2026; these sources do not test focus retention across every application.

Iria is a paid Windows product available now. Consult its current overview and downloads. For small translation tasks, first practice selecting, reviewing and pasting harmless content. An appropriate translation still needs the correct destination.
