You can read the translation; hearing it also depends on Windows voices

Translated text and an available voice require separate checks

Iria can pronounce a word or the full translation using installed Windows voices. A readable result does not establish that the voice you need is installed; fluent speech does not establish that the translation means what you intended.

Separate text language, available voice and contextual meaning before using speech for review. A website available in many languages does not itself expand the app’s translation or interface languages.

“Bank” needs a sentence before a voice

Our fictional source sentence is “We sat on the river bank”. For its Spanish version, “Nos sentamos en la orilla del río” preserves the place described. Habitually translating bank as banco is not justified by subsequently hearing clear Spanish speech.

This is an authored example, not an observed Iria output or an accuracy test. The river context determines the meaning we intend to convey.

Review it in this order:

  1. Keep the complete sentence and explain what bank means in it.
  2. Check the translated text before listening: does it describe the riverbank in this example?
  3. For pronunciation, check the installed voices Windows offers on your PC for the intended listening language.
  4. Use Iria’s documented word or full-result pronunciation. If the expected reading is unavailable, record available language and voice information rather than immediately blaming the translation.
  5. Return to meaning and the final destination. An available pronunciation does not certify a specialist translation or its effect when pasted.

We do not promise a particular bundled Iria voice or automatic installation of every voice. Microsoft’s language and voice guide documents system options; it does not establish that every reader described works inside Iria.

Choose for the actual translation job

Iria’s facts document local selected-text translation and JSON/RESX localization for Windows x64. Online licence activation and validation and the initial model download require internet. It is available as a paid product. Check the current installer and requirements before buying.

Weblate and Crowdin were consulted on 25 October 2026 as other translation-review workflows. They do not establish equivalent speech features in Iria. For your first text, prepare context, review meaning and then choose what to hear.
